Veg box 28/4

Lots of things that I'd class as fridge basics this week - spring onions, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots, cauliflower, chicory (endives), green pepper, beetroot, cucumber and white cabbage.

I'll have to get my thinking cap on to come up with interesting things for these. And I still need to tell you what I made with last week's box too !

  1. I love cauliflower, especially roasted with some olive oil, cumin, cayenne pepper (whatever I fancy really), makes it so much more interesting :)
Can't wait to see what you did with your veg last week!

    1. I'd never thought of roasting it with spices - might have to try that :)

  2. What I would do with some :
    - Saute the cucumbers (with a little butter) and serve them warm with the cooked mushrooms and some fish
    - Chicory are wonderful in a salad with apples (Julienned) with poultry
    - White cabbage, my favourite braised with cumin seeds with pork
    Enjoy the fruit box ;-)

    1. ooh sautéed cucumbers? really?! I never cook white cabbage either so that may be a good one to try (although the fruity coleslaw disappeared in record time so I may have to make some more of that !)
