Aero Finesse review

I love Aero chocolate bars - that bubbly, light, totally unique texture brings back happy memories of sharing a mint Aero bar with my best mate at school at breaktime ! - so when the opportunity arose to review their new range of refrigerated desserts, I jumped at the chance.

They come in two varieties - chocolate and vanilla - both of which combine creamy mousse with crisp swirls of chocolate to crack through. No bubbles but they do have a light, airy texture and they're delicious !

The mousse is really light and not overly sweet so it doesn't get sickly. It's a lovely indulgent dessert that will ease any sugar cravings or desire for a rich treat to finish off a meal but I did a double take when I looked at the packaging - they only contain 127 calories a pot for the vanilla and 134 for the chocolate variety.

To show off this low calorie aspect, Aero explain : "An alternative to decadent desserts, each 57g pot of Aero Finesse contains around 135 Calories. With no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, Aero Finesse makes a guilt-free after dinner indulgence you can enjoy in the evening. Why not swap your usual dessert or treat for Aero Finesse and see how many calories you can save....

If you're looking for a guilt-free dessert, look no further, but the kids loved them too, just for the taste and the sheer chocolateyness of them. These would be a great addition to the fridge over Christmas when everybody has overindulged on the turkey and Christmas pudding and wants a nice light alternative to finish off a meal.

  2. We don't like them, the chocolate to bite through tastes like cooking chocolate, we will be going back to the standard mousse, very disappointed :(
